Man - am I crabby TONIGHT!

OK, so I'm reading this debate on Euphoric Reality (go check out the whole thread)...and some dude starts ragging about how the rest of the world is demonstrating against the US presence in Iraq. Ooooooh - 60% or more oppose the Iraq war. And I'm like, "Huh? This MATTERS???!Who gives a damn?" And since I'm already crabby tonight, this little extraneous bit of brain-dead fluff pisses me off! And then I unleash...

Most countries in Europe do require some military service or public service. And I’m glad you like European’s because the EU will be the ’super power’ in 10 years or more.
And don’t forget to count the millions of others that protested the other day and not just 300 people in Norway. If you look at the statistics over 70% of Norwegians opposed the Iraq war. (In just about every European country public opposition was at least over 60%)

This is in response to Corey on Comment #2:
I’m a bit crabby tonight but I’m going to try and respond to your comments with the utmost decorum and dignity.

Who gives a flyin’ rip what the rest of the world thinks about our position in the Iraq war -especially that great big superpower, Norway?! What have they done for the world lately?!

Polls in Europe mean squat. I’ll start paying attention to Europe when the members of the EU start repaying their kjillions in debt to the US; or when they send more aid around the world than the rest of the planet COMBINED (kinda like America has always done); or when they don’t need our boys to pull their asses out of wars they can’t win; or when they stop taking billions in kick backs in an Oil For Food scam while a homocidal dictator starves his own people!!!! Goddamn - I’m pissed off.

SOME people like to forget that Iraq failed 23 (or was it 24?) UN Resolutions (which ALL those mighty superpowers signed and amen’d) over the course of 12 years. And the Resolutions ALWAYS specified the use of force - but were never enforced by our previous panty-waist administration and the monumentally useless UN.

So - there’s Saddam dickin’ around with the toothless UN Security Council and its puny, apathetic, open-your-closet-and-let-me-take-a-peek-at-1:00-next-Monday-and-I-sure-hope- nothing’s-in-there nincompoops…and guess what?! After 9/friggin’ 11, the Americans don’t want to play the idiot’s game anymore!!!!

The rest of the world, less our esteemed coalition of 30+ allied nations, would be content to pass a few dozen more resolutions UNTIL one of their dinky countries is BLOWN off the flippin’ map and the survivors come whining to US: “Why didn’t you DO something…your CIA shoulda seen this…your military shoulda stopped it…you’re stronger than the rest of us, it’s your duty to protect us…oh yeah, now YOUR taxpayers need to send billions in aid to us so that we can rebuild our puny little ineffectual nation back up to its formerly useless self…”

Puhleeze. Now don’t come back to me with a bunch of canned debate about WMDs and links to Al-Qaeda because I will open a can of whoop-ass on such brainless, defunct rhetoric. I’m not interested in reading regurgitated MSM sound bytes - they’ve been pissing me off for 2 years now and I’m not in the mood anymore. The Prez said what he said and did what he did and now we’re there and they’ve had a free election; and there’s a friggin’ democracy smack dab in the middle of a bunch of FREAKED OUT Islamic states; and whooops now Syria might remember where some nasty WMDS are stashed; and oh no, the Norwegians et al want us out. Who asked THEM?! They’ve got nuthin’ to say about it. They can try contributing something to the planet besides the ocassional super model and MAYBE someone will pay attention. Until then, they’re just background noise.

I’m goin’ to bed.
